  • What is Private Space?

    Private Space on Nothing OS provides a secure environment to store and manage sensitive apps, files and photos. It features:

    1. Additional authentication processes like a password, code or pattern.
    2. Hidden apps, which don't appear in your regular apps list, recent apps or notifications.

    To open Private Space: Go to Launcher App Drawer Private Space. Swipe right in the app drawer to enter (some regions may require a left swipe).

  • What can I do if I've lost my phone?

    If your phone is lost, you should alert the police as soon as possible. You can also use the Find My Device function.

    To enable Find My Device, go to Settings > Security and Privacy > Device Finders > Find Hub.

    Requirements for Find My Device:
    1. You must be logged into a Google Account.
    2. The lost phone is turned on.
    3. The lost phone is using a data network or wireless network.

  • How long does it take to charge?

    With the Nothing charger, Phone (4a) can fully charge in approximately 64 minutes. For an optimal charge, we recommend that you:
    1. Use a PPS protocol charger.
    2. Charge the phone at room temperature (25°C ±3°C) with the screen turned off.

  • What are the dimensions / weight of Phone (4a) ?

    The dimensions and weight of Phone (4a) are :
    Height: 163.8 mm
    Width: 77.45 mm
    Depth: 8.55 mm

    Note: the actual size and weight may vary due to the manufacturing process and measurement methods.

  • What's included in the box for Phone (4a)?

    Nothing Phone (4a), USB-C cable, Safety information, Screen protector (pre-applied), SIM tray ejector and protective case.

  • How do I turn the video-recording indicator light on or off?

    To turn the recording indicator off, go to Camera > Swipe down or click the top-right button > open Rec.light.

    Note: The Rec.light is on by default.

  • How do I enable NFC?

    There are two ways to enable NFC:
    1. Go to Settings > Connected devices > Connection preferences > NFC. Toggle on the Use NFC.
    2. Swipe down from the top of the phone to access the notification status bar > Swipe down again to access the control centre > Toggle the NFC icon.

    Note: NFC is not available in India.

  • How do I change the language?

    To change the system language, go to Settings > System > Language and Region > System languages.

  • How do I transfer data from my Android phone?

    We recommend using a Google Account to download apps and copy content to your new Nothing phone.

    Step 1: Make sure you have:
    1. Your fully charged Android phone on the latest software.
    2. Your new, fully charged Nothing phone and its charging cable.
    3. A good WiFi connection.

    Step 2: Setting up your Nothing phone:
    1. Turn on your Nothing phone. Tap → in the setup wizard.
    2. If you have a SIM card, insert it now.
    3. Connect to a WiFi or mobile network.

    Step 3: Connect the phones. This process typically takes between 5 minutes and 1 hour.
    1. When 'Set up using another device' appears, tap 'Android device'.
    2. Turn your Android phone on and unlock it. Scan the QR code on the screen of your new Nothing phone.
    3. On your Nothing phone, log into your Google Account and tap Sign in.
    4. Copy your data. If you don't want to transfer specific data, uncheck the box next to the category. When you're ready, tap Copy.
    5. Once your data is copied, click Finished. If one of your apps didn't transfer, you can download it through the Google Play Store.

  • How do I block or blacklist numbers?

    1. Open the Phone Dialer app and tap the three-dot icon – it's on the left side of the search column.
    2. Go to Settings > Blocked Numbers > Add a Number. This will block incoming calls and messages.

  • How do I turn on Call Waiting?

    1. Open the Phone Dialer app and tap the three-dot icon – it's on the left side of the search column.
    2. Go to Settings > Calling Accounts > Operator > Additional Settings.
    3. Turn on Call Waiting.
