    Earbuds: Place the buds in the charging case and close the case to charge.
    Charing case with earbuds: Put the buds in the charging case and close the case. Then connect the case to a power supply using the power cable that came with the buds.
    The case is charging when the indicator lamp of the case flashes white. Once it turns solid-white, the case is fully charged.

  • What is ENC?

    ENC stands for Environmental Noise Cancellation. It is specially tuned to remove unwanted background noise while using the microphone for calls. For your microphone, ENC ensures others won't hear your background noise when speaking.

  • How many equaliser settings does Ear (3) have?

    There are EQ settings: BALANCED, BASS, TREBLE, and VOICE. You can also set custom effects based on your preferences. Get the Nothing X app to try more options.

  • Which Bluetooth version does Ear (3) use?

    Ear (3) uses Bluetooth 5.4.

  • How long do the earbuds take to automatically power off when inactive?

    The earbuds will automatically power off after 60 minutes of inactivity when not connected and not worn (the duration may vary between different products). To restore functionality, place the earbuds back into the charging case. If the earbuds are fully charged and left unused, they will enter a timeout shutdown mode after 2 minutes.

    Yes, Ear (3) has a customisable EQ.

  • Does Ear (3) support low latency mode?

    Yes, Ear (3) supports low latency mode. When used with a Nothing Phone, the latency can be less than 120ms under Game Mode.

  • Will the earbuds charge properly when the charging case is low on battery?

    The earbuds will charge until the charging case falls below 5% battery. However, when the charging case is nearly out of battery, the indicator LED will not display, and the charging case button will be unresponsive. In such cases, please recharge the charging case promptly.

  • What is Smart ANC?

    Smart ANC generates optimised noise-cancelling, monitoring the earphones' wearing status, external noise leakage, and surrounding environmental noise changes in real time. It runs automatically, adapting dynamically based on usage conditions.

    To ensure Smart ANC works, check that:
    1. ANC is enabled (ANC ON) after wearing the earphones, either via the app or touch controls.
    2. The surrounding noise level are above 65dB for noticeable noise-cancelling improvement.

    If the above conditions are not met, the Smart ANC noise cancellation mode will not be activated.

    If you experience variations in noise-cancelling performance, re-insert the earphones or adjust their fit angle under the above conditions.

  • What is Static Spatial Audio?

    Static Spatial Audio creates a three-dimensional sound effect, making the audio appear to come from a fixed position in front of the device. When you turn your head, the perceived direction of the sound remains unchanged. Compared to traditional stereo sound, it provides a more immersive and realistic listening experience with a stronger sense of presence.

    The TALK button launches Super Mic, allowing you to take calls and record voicenotes.

    For calls

    1) Press the TALK button for short calls and notes

    Release: Release Super Mic and switch back to buds

    2) Double-press the TALK button for longer calls and notes
    Double press: Latch Super Mic
    Single press: Release Super Mic and switch back to buds

    Non-calls

    The ear tip fit test assesses your hearing and generates a personalised dynamic audio compensation plan. This ensures you hear the clearest possible sound details tailored to your ear canal.

    Yes, Ear (3) supports in-ear detection.

  • What is Super Mic?

    Super Mic is a built-in microphone inside the charging case. Users can easily switch between the earphones’ microphone and the charging case microphone (Super Mic) using the TALK button . Because the charging case microphone is closer to the mouth, it ensures industry-leading voice clarify.

  • What is Walkie-Talkie Mode?

    In Walkie-Talkie mode during calls, the earphones and Super Mic will automatically mute when the user does not press the call button on the charging case. Pressing the call button immediately unmutes Super Mic, and the call is conducted solely through Super Mic. Once the call ends, the device returns to default.
    Walkie-Talkie mode can be enabled in the Nothing X app settings. When enabled, the device will automatically switch to Walkie-Talkie mode upon answering incoming calls.

    A Personal Sound Profile allows you to tailor your listening experience to how you hear. With a brief hearing test, you can fine-tune the sound with an 8-band equaliser, allowing precise adjustment of each frequency range, from bass to treble.
