The open-ear clip-on design easily radiates high-frequency sound waves outward, resulting in sound leakage. At present, most brands adopt the same core solution for sound leakage reduction on clip-on earbuds: targeted attenuation of high-frequency audio signals to cut down outward sound leakage and deliver anti-leakage performance.
Enabling the anti-leakage function does not lower the actual playback volume of the earbuds. Humans are inherently more sensitive to high-frequency sounds. Once high frequencies are attenuated, crisp and transparent audio details are reduced, creating a subjective impression of lower volume. Meanwhile, the loss of high frequencies leads to slight degradation in sound quality — this is an unavoidable trade-off inherent to this widely used anti-leakage technology.
Slight sound quality compromise and perceived volume reduction are universal characteristics of the industry-standard high-frequency attenuation anti-leakage solution. We have implemented the same mature tuning to ensure privacy when listening in public spaces.
