Insert the provided SIM card remover tool into the hole next to the SIM tray, located on the bottom of the phone.

Go to Settings > Security to choose your preferred unlocking method. Note that you need to set a pattern / PIN first in order to use fingerprint or Face Unlock.

Launch the camera app and tap on the "Video" option on the mode selection bar.

Just like any other widget, the Ear (1) widget can be accessible by long pressing on an empty space in the homescreen and selecting "Widget" in the pop-up menu. Next, scroll down to the Ear (1) app and drag the widget out to the homescreen.

- To set up the screen recording feature, swipe down from the top of the screen two times to access the expanded Quick Settings. Press the edit (pencil) icon and drag the Screen Recording tile up from the hidden tiles.
- To begin recording, swipe down to open the Quick Settings and find the newly added Screen Recording tile. Tap it once and confirm to begin recording after the three-second countdown, shown on the right side of the notification bar.
- To finish recording, swipe down to open the notification centre and tap "Stop" to save the recording. The file can be accessible in Google Photos > Library > Movies.

The wallpaper and accent colours can be changed by long pressing on an empty space in the homescreen, and selecting "Customisation" in the pop up menu. Tap on "Wallpaper & style" to select your wallpaper and accent colour. By default, Phone (1) will deploy Android 12's new Dynamic Colour feature to extract colours from the wallpaper unless specified.

Phone (1) uses Google's default backup routine when it's connected to Wi-Fi and charging on standby for 2 hours. To backup immediately, navigate to Settings > Google > Backup and tap on the "Back up now" button.

Find My Device will be automatically activated after you log into a Google account. However, the location can only be accessible if location services are toggled on. For more information, check out Settings > Google > Find My Device.

Location services can be activated in Settings > Location. When this toggle is on, apps that require location services will request permission to access your location data when you open the app for the first time.

The language can be set on the first page of the setup wizard. It can also be changed in Settings > System > Languages and input.

In the setup wizard, there will be an option to copy data from an existing device, either via a Google account backup or by connecting the two devices with a cable.

Press and hold the power button until the Nothing logo appears on the display.

Go to Settings>About Phone>Software Info>Build Number and tap 7 times. After "You are in developer mode" appears, please turn on USB debugging in Setting> System>Developer Options>USB Debugging.

1. If there is a new version:
We recommend you download the latest Nothing OS software version using Wi-Fi. Do not press the power button or perform any actions during the upgrade process, and wait patiently for the update to complete.
2. If there is no new version:
If there is no new version update, it means your phone has the latest version.

Please follow the below steps:
1. Swipe into the application center on the mobile phone, long press the corresponding app, and select Uninstall. Or long press the corresponding app, click on App info and Uninstall it.
2. You can also go to Settings>Apps>See All Apps. Tap the app you want to uninstall, and then select Uninstall.

Some built-in apps of the system do not support uninstallation. Uninstalling the app will clear the app data. we recommend you back up the required data before uninstalling.

Please go to Settings>Glyph Interface>Ringtones>Default Ringtone. You can preview the Glyph display and choose the different Glyph styles. Click the add icon in the upper left and add your customised ringtones.
Note: Notification sounds can be set in a similar manner, deciding between original Nothing sounds or imported sounds.

Please go to settings>Glyph Interface and choose to enable/disable it. Or find the Glyph Settings by swiping down the notification bar and clicking it to adjust the settings.

Please go to Settings>System>System Update and choose Check For Update. If any updates are available, do so.

Method 1: Go to Settings>Display, and Toggle on the Dark Theme.
Method 2: Swipe down from the top of the phone, and the notification status bar will be available. Then swipe down again to go to the Control Centre, and slide to toggle the Dark Theme icon to enable.

Please go to Settings>Notifications>Notifications On Lock Screen, then select Dont Show Any Notifications.

Go to Settings>Glyph Interface and slide the bar to adjust brightness.

Go to Settings>Glyph Interface to enable/disable Glyph lights. Or you can swipe down on your home screen to access Quick Settings and tap on Glyphs.

Currently, app lock is not supported by Nothing Phone (1). You can use third party apps for app encryption.

We suggest you protect your personal data by setting the screen lock password.

Method 1: Press the power button and volume+ button simultaneously, and a pop-up menu will be displayed. Then select Power to turn off the phone.
Method 2: Swipe down from the top of the screen to access Quick Settings. Swipe down again to access the control centre. The Power button is there.

First, make sure multi-user is enabled by going to Settings>System>Multiple Users.

Swipe down from the top of the lock screen to access Quick Settings and tap the user icon.

Go to Settings>System>Gestures>Quickly Open Camera and toggle to enable it.

Then, you can press the power button twice to quickly open the camera from any screen.
