  • Will Find My Phone work with a different SIM card?

    Yes, you can log in to Find My Phone on any device as long as your phone is powered on and the network is working.

  • Why do I need to restart Phone (2a) regularly?

    Phone (2a) will become laggy if it's not shut down for a long time. This is because trash files are generated when the phone is in operation, which, over time, can cause system or screen freezing.

  • I've lost my phone. What should I do?

    Use the Find My Phone function. To enable it, go to Settings > Security > Find My Phone.

    Requirements:
    1. Ensure you're logged in to your Google account and have the Find My Phone function enabled.
    2. Ensure the lost mobile phone is powered on.
    3. Ensure the lost mobile phone is using a data network or wireless network.

  • How do I use Android Auto?

    Phone (2a) can connect to a car via Android Auto if the car supports this. Please contact the car service provider to check compatibility first.

    Go to Settings > Connected devices > Connection preferences > Android Auto, and connect your phone to the car via a USB cable.
    1. Turn on USB debugging (enter *#*#3424#*#* on the dial pad).
    2. Allow permission of the pop-up requests on the phone.
    For most compatible cars or aftermarket stereos, you only need to connect your device to the car through a USB cable. If your car display can be connected wirelessly, please ensure you first pair your phone with your car's bluetooth for setup. Your phone will then automatically connect to the car, or the Android Auto application icon will appear on your car display.

    Please note:
    1. If the phone is only in the charging state after connecting or the connection can't be established, change the USB cable or restart the phone to reconnect to the car.
    2. If Android Auto can't be used after connection, check whether the built-in software for car screen mirroring is the latest one, and update Android Auto to the latest version in the Google Play Store.

  • Does Phone (2a) support app locker?

    Phone (2a) supports the App Locker. Once it's enabled, you need to verify the privacy password (or fingerprint) to protect application privacy.

    Since Nothing OS2.0.0, you can enter Settings Apps App locker and add the corresponding third-party applications to the application list for encryption.

  • Does Phone (2a) support cloned apps?

    Phone (2a) supports cloned apps. They're in a cloned system independent of the main system, which can provide you with a safe and convenient experience, meeting the needs of work, entertainment, life partition and privacy protection.

    Since Nothing OS 2.0.0, you can enter Settings > Apps > Cloned apps and add the corresponding third-party applications to the application list for Cloning.

  • My GPS isn't working. What can I do?

    Please try the below:

    1. If you're indoors or around high-rise buildings, move to an open outdoors space for better GPS signal.
    2. Ensure your phone is updated with the latest map data when connected to the WiFi.
    3. Ensure location services are turned on.
    4. Restart your phone to rule out positioning failure due to a software problem.
    5. If the GPS locating function fails for a long time, it may be caused by hardware errors, which require inspection and repair.

  • How do I restore deleted photos or videos?

    1. Open the photos app and go to media library on the bottom bar.
    2. Click on Bin to see items deleted within the past 60 days.

  • How do I enable the dark theme on Phone (2a)?

    The dark theme is enabled by default. To change it, swipe down to access quick settings find the Dark Theme tile, and click on it to toggle on / off.

  • How do I enable battery saver on Phone (2a)?

    1. When your phone's battery is below 20%, a low-battery notification will appear to prompt you to turn on the battery saver.
    2. To toggle it manually, swipe down from the top of the screen two times to access the expanded quick settings. Press the edit (pencil) icon and drag the Battery saver tile up from the hidden tiles. Click it to toggle it on and off from the quick setting.

  • How do I activate Find My Phone on Phone (2a)?

    Find My Phone will be automatically activated once you log into a Google account. However, the location can only be accessible if location services are toggled on. For more information, check out Settings > Google > Find My Phone.

  • How do I transfer data from my existing phone to Phone (2a)?

    In the setup page, there will be an option to copy data from an existing device, either via a Google account backup or by connecting the two devices with a cable.

  • How do I upgrade the software system online?

    Go to Settings > System > System update. If there is a new version, download it using WiFi. Don't press the power button or perform any actions during the upgrade process, and wait for the update to complete.

  • How do I use my hotspot?

    Go to Settings > Network & internet > Hotspot and tethering > WiFi hotspot

    Note: if turned on, your personal hotspot can consume a lot of data, resulting in power consumption and heating issues. This is a normal, but please use your hotspot with care.

  • How do I look after Phone (2a)?

    1. For phone appearance:
    1). Use a protective cases / leather case / film, etc. to protect your phone.
    2). Don't use excessive force on the phone and don't hit it with sharp and hard objects.
    3). Don't put it in tight pockets or trouser pockets.
    4). Don't use your phone in suboptimal environments, such as places with impurities, iron powder and dust particles. Don't let your phone get in contact with liquids and moisture. Don't place it in cold environments or near cold air vents.

    2. For phone performance:
    1). Charge the battery when it's relatively low; you don't need to wait until it's depleted. When charging, use a safe and compliant charger and data cable, and use the original battery.
    2). We don't recommend cracking the firmware version, ROOT and other operations on the mobile phone.
    3). Don't use your phone while it charges.
    4). Don't use your phone for a long time in a high-temperature environment.

  • What should I do if the time in the status bar is different from the Clock widget?

    Please try the following:

    1. Go to Settings> System> Date & Time, and adjust the time manually.
    2. Go to Settings> Apps>See all Apps> Clock> Storage & Cache to clear the storage.

    Please try the following:

  • Why won't my phone vibrate?

    Please try the following:

    1. Check vibration settings: go to Settings> Sound & Vibration> Vibration, and toggle on Vibrate for Calls and Notification Vibration/ Touch Feedback.
    2. Press the volume key to enter the ringtone Volume Settings. Click the ringtone icon and check if the vibration switch is turned on.
    3. Reboot your phone and test again.
    4. Back up any important data and restore your phone to factory settings.

  • What do I do if an app icon disappears from the home screen?

    Please try the following:

    1. If you're using a third-party theme or plug-in, it won't have an app icon display on the home screen, so check in the download files instead.
    2. Restart your phone. In many cases, the home screen will refresh, and the icon(s) will return.
    3. Go to Settings> Apps> See all Apps. In the upper right corner, tap the vertical three dots and go to Show System. Then find the Nothing Launcher and clear the Storage & Cache.
    4. Uninstall the corresponding App and re-install it.
    5. Swipe up the home page to open the application centre and long-press on the app to drag it to the home screen.

  • What do I do if contact information disappears?

    Check if you can find it via backup data: go to Settings> System> Backup, and choose Backup Details> Google Account Data to confirm if contacts are enabled. Once enabled, the contact information will automatically be synced to the cloud under a good network connection.

    Note:
    We suggest you regularly back up important data.

  • What do I do if Google Photo won't synchronise?

    Causes and solutions:

    1. Network abnormalities: change to a different network and try again.

    2. Insufficient storage space for Google Photos: empty your cloud storage space with the following methods:
    a) Enter Google Drive, delete invalid files, and clean up the storage space.
    b) Enter Google Photo> Library> Trash> Select Picture> Permanently Delete, release space.
    c) Enter Google Photo> Avatar in the upper right corner> Account Sorage> Review and Delete to delete invalid files.

    3. Expand Google storage space: go to Desktop> Google Drive> More in the upper left corner> Buy storage, and choose your preferred package. Note this is a paid addition.

    1. When you're browsing the web, your phone will automatically download pictures according to the size and resolution of the screen, so loading images may be slow.

  • What do I do if SMS messages are not being received by the other party?

  • What do I do if I can't send voice messages in a game?

    Please try the following:

    1. Go to Settings> Security & Privacy> Privacy> Permission Manager> Microphone to confirm whether the game has a microphone function. If yes, please turn it on.

    3. In your game, go to App Info> Storage & Cache> Clear Cache, and clear the data.
