Button/Gesture control issue

This section Created by api

  • Why can't I switch to the previous or next music track using the Roller button on CMF Headphone Pro?

Please refer to the user manual or the in-app guide in the Nothing X app to ensure that your gesture and button operations are correct.

If you have confirmed the gestures are performed correctly but the function still doesn't work, try using a different music app to verify whether the control works as expected.

  • Why can’t I adjust the volume using gestures after enabling the setting?

    1. This product only supports volume adjustment via the Roller.
    2. Due to compatibility differences in Bluetooth protocol versions across operating systems, some phones or computers may not support the volume control protocol. This is a known limitation affecting many over-ear Bluetooth headphones on the market.

If you encounter this issue, try connecting the headphones to another commonly used device and try to adjust the volume. If volume control works as expected on the other device, the issue lies with your device, not the headphones.

  • Why can’t I use gesture controls on my Nothing Ear (3) to switch to the previous or next track?

Please ensure you are pressing the correct touch control area on the earphones. If the position is correct but the function still does not trigger, try using a different music app to test whether the function works properly.
When a gesture control is triggered, the command is sent from the earphones through the device to the app for processing. Some apps do not support track switch commands, so they will not respond to earphone control signals, disabling gesture controls.
This issue can occur with many TWS Bluetooth earphones on the market. Rest assured it doesn't indicate any fault with Ear (3).

  • I've set Ear (3) to use gestures for volume control. Why is this not working?

Due to compatibility issues with Bluetooth protocol versions of devices, some phone and computer models may not support the volume control protocol. If you encounter this issue, try connecting the earbuds to another commonly used device to adjust the volume.

Rest assured the issue doesn't indicate any fault with Ear (3).

  • Why does the wear detection on my headphones not work?
The wear detection sensor is designed on the right ear cushion. For the best sound quality and wearing comfort, please ensure that you wear the headphones correctly according to the left and right sides. Please wear the ear marked "L" on your left ear and the ear marked "R" on your right ear.
  • Why can't I fast forward or rewind audio using the paddle on my headphones?
    1. If you're using a Nothing Phone, please download the latest version of the Nothing X App. Go to Control > Single Press > Nothing Radio Settings and grant the necessary Notifications permission to enable the fast forward and rewind features. 2. If you're using a non-Nothing phone, fast forward and rewind may not work due to compatibility issues with the audio playback app on your device. This limitation is common across most over-ear Bluetooth headphones on the market. We recommend using verified compatible apps such as Apple Music or Spotify on iOS, and Spotify (Podcasts), Pocket Casts, Audible, or QQ Music on Android.
